Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" Review (Day 7)

Hey everyone!

So today's theme is beauty. I'm going to start off with my essential hair product that I need to have everywhere I go. I'll give you some background on my hair: It's CURLY!! Reallyyyyyy curly! Sometimes I find it hard to take care of but I manage. And with curly hair the key to styling is to do it when it's wet. And a product that makes it 10000x easier is Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner".

It is a leave-in conditioner with a gel-like consistency. If you don't already know, leave-in conditioner is a product that you use when your hair is wet. They help untangle knots, give moisture as well as control. This is my favorite leave-in, and I have been using leave-in since my hair was long enough to comb. Luckily, my mom has curly hair as well and already searched for the perfect product. Here are some pros and cons:

Pros:
  1. You don't need too much, a little goes a long way. So, you can get a lot of use out of one bottle.
  2. It gives my hair SO much moisture and control. On days when I don't have it available my hair is all frizzy and hard to manage.
  3. After I get out of the shower my hair is tangled and dry, but once I put this stuff in I can comb it in a minute. So it makes it really easy for school or when I need to get ready quick.
Cons:
  1. You cannot buy it at a drugstore, but you can find it at many beauty shops such as Ulta, Sally's and many others.
  2. It is pricier than other leave-in conditioners but like I said a little goes a long way for this. So I think that you can get in a lot more use than other brands.
That was my review. Here is a picture:

You can usually find this product at $12-$20 depending on the place where you bought it. I totally recommend this product it will change your hair life :)

QOTP:
1. Do you plan on using this? Why or why not?
2. Is there another product you want me to review? Let me know!

Quote of the Week (Day 6)

"Laziness is attractive but hard work gives satisfaction" -Anne Frank

I think about this quote and recite it over and over in my head when I'm at the gym and I am striving for that extra mile. Days when I sit on the computer all day makes me feel like I haven't done anything but days like today when I have gone to church, make jewelry, walk the dog, bake, and plan a trip make me feel accomplished and satisfied. If I tried to live my life like this everyday, I think I could be a lot happier.

Just some thoughts. Leave me a comment about your interpretation or opinion about the quote. <3

Review of Week (Day 5)

Hey everyone!

Today's theme is review of week. I used to play a game with my friend's family at dinner saying our high point of the day and our low point. So I'll stretch it out a bit longer and say it for the whole week.

High Points
  • I started a blog! I'm really happy and I've been wanting to this for a very long time. I'm trying to promote it the best I can and hopefully it will be successful. If you're reading this just leave a comment saying, "Hi" or something. I would really like to talk to this little blogosphere. And if you enjoy them, you can follow me :) Any feedback is good feedback.
  • Sam got groomed :) He is so so cute! It's not exactly what I was thinking but it suits him well. He was really scared when we left him at the groomer but so happy when he saw us again.
  • My friends and I started a hair accessory business. They are pretty much flowered headbands, hair ties, and clips. If you are interested please let me know! We hope that this brings much success :)
Low Points...wah wah waahhh :(
  • The weather this week was LOUSY! Ugh! Usually this time of year, the average temperature is over 80 but this week it was in the low 60's and terribly cloudy. I actually really enjoy that type of weather but during summer when I can be at the beach or outside. When that type of weather is during school, I don't feel as bad staying inside pretty much all day.
  • I stayed up really late each night this week. I hate staying up late because I get woken up early by Sam and my mom, and when that happens I have a horrible headache the whole day.
Okay that is pretty much it! Overall, not a bad week, not bad at all!

QOTP:
1. How was your week? Tell me the highs and lows.
2. Do you have a blog? Leave me a link and I will check it out and write a comment and follow you! :)

Lazy Day-- My All-Time Favorite YouTube Videos Part 1(Day 4)

Hey everyone!

Today has been kind of busy for me! My friends and I are thinking about starting a jewelry business and it has taken up a lot of my time today...more of that later. Today's theme is movies but I'm not in the intellectual, deep-thinking mood right now so I'll show you some of my favorite YouTube Videos... because that counts right ? ;)

ShayCarl PWNS his wife NOOB

Oh my! I can't record how many times I have watched this video. Each time I laugh so hard too :) I don't know what makes it so funny. Maybe it is only in my eyes:

Chubby kid falls off roof!

Here's another Shaycarl video. I am so in love with him! If don't know who he is please check him out at http://www.youtube.com/shaycarl He is super funny with adorable kids. Now for the dismount:

Tita Auntie's Diary: Pilpinos Do Hab Sols!

This one is soooo funny. Being 1/4 Filipino, I can totally say that she is nailing it perfectly (grandma talks a lot). Her YouTube is glowpinkstah.

Okay, I am so so so sorry that this is cut short! I will continue this next week. Sorry again! See ya tomorrow :)

QOTP:
1. Do you have a favorite YouTube video or video maker?

10 Things About My Dog (Day 3)

Hey everyone!

I recently got a dog (well like 4 months ago) named Sam. He was found in front of a school, starving and homeless. Animal Control got a hold of him and put him into the local shelter. Another agency called "Second Chance Dog Rescue" picked him from the shelter and gave him to a foster parent. Through very strange (yet lucky) coincidences, we found Sam with the foster parent and fell in love with him right away. He is my favorite dog in the world! And here is ten things about him:

1. We're not really sure about his breed. Being that he was stranded, we've been having to take guesses. So we think he is Lhasa Apso, Maltese and/or Shitzu or a combination of either of those.

2. When we first got him, the shelter registered his name as "Clancy". Although this might be great for some dogs, our family thought that the name "Sam" fitted him much better.

3. He LOVES to eat. He will eat pretty much anything. His favorite treats are bananas! Whenever I go to my grandma's house she has to put up her dogs' food bowls because he will eat all of their food.

4. His fur (hair) is so hard to take care of! I will brush it one day and find a brand new mat the next. We have to bathe him at least 2 times a week to keep him clean because the dirt sticks to his hair so much.

5. He has his precious babies, as we like to call them. My brother had some old Webkinz that he didn't use anymore up on a high shelf. One day we came home and he had all of them in a line. He would put one in his mouth and walk around, set it down somewhere then start licking it. It was THE cutest thing ever. He has never tore one apart nor lose one. To this day you can find him with one in his mouth.

6. He will bark at the slightest sound (my fingers popping) but he will sleep through a 7.1 earthquake (he really did). If our upstairs neighbor steps a little harder on the ground in the middle of the night, Sam will bark his little head off! But so far he has slept through about 4 earthquakes!

7. He is scared of... oh no please! Not those evil, evil... babies! Babies? Yeah and toddlers also. He will hide behind my legs if he sees one and make a point to not let them touch him. But he can run up to a Mastif and start sniffing his butt!

8. He gets those under-eye purple stains! They are such a pain :P But I guess they give him character.

9. When we got him he was only 14 pounds, which is really tiny for his size. You could see his ribs :( But after a month he is already 20 pounds! Wheesh! Told you he loves to eat.

10. Last but not least, he knows 4 tricks that I taught him all by myself: sit, beg, shake and high five. There will be video of that probably next week :)

Here are some pictures:

He's the one on the left. He had gotten neutered from the shelter. On the right is the foster parent's dog, Bronson.

QOTP:

1. Do you have a dog? If so, what breed?
2. Do you have any remedies or products that can help the tear stain problems?
